The Ravens are 7-1 straight up in the last 8 games, 5-1 straight up on the road in the last 6, and 11-4 straight up in their last 15 games against an opponent in the AFC South division. The Jaguars are 2-7 in their last 9 games against an opponent in the AFC North division and 3-11 in their last 14 games in Week 15 of the season.
Lamar Jackson is having an excellent season for the Ravens and is one of the favorites to win the MVP award. He has 252 completions this season and 2,934 yards passing, getting really close to his career highs that brought him the award in 2019. Trevor Lawrence is solid and played through an ankle injury he suffered in the game against the Bengals. Last week, he had 257 yards and 3 touchdown passes but also allowed three interceptions.
Safety Kyle Hamilton (knee) and linebacker Malik Hamm (ankle) are listed as questionable for the Ravens. Safety Andre Cisco (groin) and cornerback Tyson Campbell (quadriceps) are out for the Jaguars.
The Ravens are going into this one as a 3-point favorite. They have the momentum, and the Jaguars will struggle to score against Baltimore’s defense. Lamar Jackson has a lot to prove against Trevor Lawrence, and this is a perfect opportunity for him to plead his case for the MVP. The teams have split the last 10 head-to-head games, and none of them have won two straight. The Jaguars won the last game, which is another reason to go for the Ravens’ straight up win at -180.
