One team with a great season record and another one with momentum will collide on Wednesday afternoon when Virginia Tech and Tulane meet in the Military Bowl Presented by GoBowling.com at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland.
The Virginia Tech Hokies finished fourth in the ACC with a 6-6 record. They had a poor start to the season, losing 3 of the last 4 games, but ended the year by winning 4 of the last 6. Their best performance came in the final week of the season, when they beat Virginia 55-17. The Hokies are 64th in the country with 386.3 total yards per game and 34th with 4.7 yards per rush. Defensively, Virginia Tech is 26th in the country with 324.2 yards per game and 10th with 172.9 passing yards per game.
The Tulane Green Wave finished on top of the American Conference with an 11-2 record. They lost to Ole Miss in the second week of the season and to SMU in the last one, connecting 10 wins in between. On the defensive end, the Green Wave are in the Top 10 in the country with 94.2 rushing yards per game and 3.1 yards per rush.

Kyron Drones got the chance to be a regular starter for the Hokies in his sophomore season. He had a couple of poor performances in the season, but most of the time, has been over 200 passing yards. Drones finished the regular season with 1,993 passing yards and 15 touchdowns on 58% completions.
UT Cole Beck and WR Ali Jennings III are out for the Hokies while the Green Wave will be without WR Lawrence Keys III and WR Jha’Quan Jackson.
Virginia Tech is a 10-point favorite going into this game, even though Tulane had a much better regular season. The reason for that is the transfer portal, where Tulane has guys like Corey Platt Jr., Keith Cooper, and Kentrell Webb, who all committed to Houston. The Hokies also have a long list there, but only Daequan Wright’s absence would be felt. Still, going for the total line is much safer for this game as it is set at only 43.5 points. The Hokies have gone over in 8 of 12 games, and their last three games have averaged 68.3 points in total, so going over 43.5 should not be a problem at all.
