Prediction and Conclusion

Both players from France have a solid week in Tokyo and a chance to add another title this season. They know each other pretty well since they have played four times before and also represented France in doubles at the Paris Olympics. Humbert is the more experienced player and won all the previous matches against Fils. The younger Fils had an impressive match, surviving two tiebreaks in the semifinals, and will have to dig deep to win his countryman. Humbert is still the better player and will win the title today.
