Prediction and Conclusion

Tommy Paul has been on the verge of the top 10 for the past two years, but he has yet to make the final push and get into the elite. The Americans played much better in the first half of the season and are currently struggling. That is also the case with Laslo Djere, who had a couple of injuries this season and has dropped out of the top 100 players, which put him in a situation to have to play the qualifiers here. Djere lost only two games in the opening round, and there is no doubt that he is ready for a fight. Paul is the better player, but we go with Djere to cover the +4.5-game spread.
