Americans Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe will fight for their first-ever Grand Slam final when they meet in the semifinal of the US Open.

Fritz is coming off a 7-6, 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 win over Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinals. Earlier in the tournament, he went past Casper Ruud, Francisco Comesana, Matteo Berrettini and Camilo Ugo Carbelli.

The week before the US Open, Tiafoe made it to the final in Cincinnati where he lost to world No. 1 Jannik Sinner. That was his second final of the year after he lost to Ben Shelton in Houston.
