For the second consecutive year, Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz will play for the Wimbledon title.

Novak Djokovic Profile

Novak Djokovic dropped from the top of the rankings after the French Open, and now he is second. The Serbian is 23-6 for the season and 5-0 on grass.

He is coming off a 6-4, 7-6, 6-4 win over Lorenzo Musetti in the semifinals. Djokovic did not play the quarterfinal match since Alex de Minaur withdrew from the tournament. Previously, he defeated Holger Rune, Alexei Popyrin, Jacob Fearnley and Vit Kopriva.

Djokovic has yet to win a title this season. His best result was the semifinal at the Australian Open, where he lost to Jannik Sinner, and he reached the same stage in Monte Carlo and Geneva.

Djokovic has won seven Wimbledon titles, and won four consecutive from 2018 to 2022.

Carlos Alcaraz Profile

Carlos Alcaraz is third in the ATP rankings, and last year he reached the top for the first time in his career. The Spaniard is 33-6 for the season and 7-1 on grass.

Alcaraz is coming off a 6-7, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 semifinal win against Daniil Medvedev. Earlier in the tournament, he defeated Tommy Paul, Ugo Humbert, Frances Tiafoe, Aleksandar Vukic and qualifier Mark Lajal.

Prediction and Conclusion

Novak Djokovic came to Wimbledon 25 days after knee surgery looking for the eighth title at the All England Club, facing Carlos Alcaraz, the only player who has beaten him at Wimbledon in the last six years. Djokovic has yet to win a title this season, which is his longest drought in more than a decade. However, Djokovic has played on top of his game and looks unbeatable at the moment. Still, Alcaraz is on that level, and he proved that he can beat Djokovic on grass last year in the final, coming back from a set down. This will be an epic match, with the cheapest tickets being $10.600. We expect nothing but a spectacle, and Djokovic will make history again by winning his 25th Grand Slam title.
