New York Rangers vs Florida Panthers Game 4: Eastern Conference Finals – Game 3

The Florida Panthers lost the last two games of the series and are hoping to tie things up when they host the New York Rangers on Tuesday at Amerant Bank Arena.

The Rangers are back in control

The New York Rangers have their best season in decades, and after losing the opening game of the Eastern Conference Finals, they turned things around with back-to-back wins. Alex Wennberg is the Rangers hero after scoring the game-winning goal in overtime of Game 3 for a final 5-4 win. Alexis Lafreniere and Barclay Goodrow scored their second goals of the game in the second period to put the Rangers 4-2 up, but they were allowed to score unanswered goals and had to go into overtime.

The Panthers need to step up

The Florida Panthers had a great start to the series, winning the opener in New York but falling short in both games after that one. They came back in Game 3 after being two goals down, with Aleksander Barkov and Gustav Forsling scoring in a two-minute stretch. Sam Reinhart had two power-play goals for the Panthers, and Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 18 shots at the goal line.

The Panthers have won 13 of the last 17 games overall and 9 of the last 11 games at home. At the same time, they have played under the total goal line in the last five games overall. The Rangers have won 11 of their last 14 games overall, 6 of the last nine against Florida, and 9 of the last 12 games on the road. Prediction and Conclusion

The New York Rangers had their best season in decades and proved they were ready to go all the way with the last win in Sunrise. Now the Rangers are 2-1 up and can get one step away from reaching the final when they visit the Panthers tonight. That will definitely not be easy, as Florida has everything they need to bounce back and make the series very interesting. The last game was high-scoring, unlike the previous two played in New York, and we can expect the same tonight, so we go with over 5.5 goals in total.
