The Italian is coming off a 2-6, 6-2, 6-1, 6-2 win over Mackenzie McDonald in the opening round of the tournament.
Last week, he won the title in Cincinnati defeating Frances Tiafoe in the final which was his fifth trophy of the season. Earlier this year he won his first Grand Slam at the Australian Open and the titles in Halle, Miami and Rotterdam.

After huge controversy with the doping scandal, Jannik Sinner continued where he stopped winning the title in Cincinnati and the first round match in New York. Alex Michelsen also had a good performance in the opener, and this is the real challenge for the American teenager. He will have a shot at the world No. 1 at home stage with the support of the crowd, but still, he doesn’t seem ready for a sensation. Sinner will have full control of the match and win in straight sets.
