Head-to-Head Mensik leads 1-0

  • Mensik vs Coric 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (2024 ATP Dubai, first round)

Prediction and Conclusion

The 18-year-old Jakub Mensik looks like the next rising star on the ATP tour, and he may be the one making a huge jump this week in Montreal. The player from the Czech Republic didn’t make a deep run at the Olympics but had enough time to prepare for Montreal. Borna Coric is someone who was as promising as Mensik was today when he was a teenager, but given injuries, she is just a shadow of the player he once was. This will be the second match this year between the two after Mensik won the decisive tiebreak in Dubai. This time, things will go way easier for him, and Mensik will be the one to advance to the second round.
