Dallas Cowboys vs Pittsburgh Steelers: An Interesting game on Sunday night

The Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers will face each other at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday.

The Cowboys are picking up their form

The Dallas Cowboys are second in the NFC East with a 2-2 record. Interestingly, they lost both home games while won both times they played on the road. The Cowboys started the season well beating the Cleveland Browns 33-17 and then lost the next two to the New Orleans Saints and the Baltimore Ravens. Last week, the Cowboys bounced back with a 20-15 win over the New York Giants. Dak Prescott threw one of his two touchdown passes to CeeDee Lamb and the Cowboys beat the Giants for the seventh straight time and 14th in 15 games.

Are the Steelers back for good?

The Pittsburgh Steelers are on top of the AFC North with a 3-1 record. They had a perfect start to the season winning the first three games. They opened the season with an 18-10 win in Atlanta against the Falcons which was followed by a 13-6 win over the Broncos in Denver. Then, the Steelers beat the Los Angeles Chargers 20-10 in the home opener. Last week, they suffered the first loss when visiting Indianapolis, 27-24 to the Colts. Justin Fields was 22 of 34 for 312 yards and ran 10 times for 55 yards but was sacked four times and lost a fumble in one of two Pittsburgh turnovers.

Betting Trends

The Steelers are 6-2 SU in their last 8 games overall and 12-3 SU in their last 15 games in Week 5. Pittsburgh has played under the total point line in 4 of their last 6 games overall and 7 of their last 8 games in October. The Cowboys are 6-3 SU in their last 9 games against the Steelers and 8-4 SU in their last 12 games against teams from the AFC. Dallas has played over the total point line in 5 of their last 6 games overall and 4 of their last 5 games played in Week 5.

Prediction and Conclusion

After a couple of mediocre seasons, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Dallas Cowboys came into this one with high hopes. It’s been a while since these two met and every real NFL fan knows that every game between these two is a real spectacle. Dak Prescott is third in the league with 1.072 yards in the first four contests and is tied for fifth place with 6 touchdowns. The Cowboys lead the league in field goal attempts and field goals made second in passing attempts, and third in completion percentage. On the other side, the Steelers are fourth in the league allowing 261.2 yards per game, and third in allowing 86.8 rushing yards per game. It will be interesting to see how the Steelers defense will try to defend Prescott but there is no doubt that the Cowboys quarterback will find ways to create for Dallas. Therefore, we go with the Cowboys to cover the +2.5-points spread.
