With the March Madness only weeks away, NCAA basketball regular season is coming to the final stage. Every team in country is pushing hard to finish the season strong and find a place in the NCAA tournament.
There are plenty of games scheduled for Sunday and we put up our game breakdowns and college basketball betting trends for four of the most interesting games of the night.
Purdue is one of the top favorites to go all the way this season, and they will try to prove that once again against Ohio State. St. John’s is playing its best basketball in recent years and is hosting Seton Hall tonight in New York City. Both Minnesota and Rutgers have chances to make it to the NCAA tournament, and a lot will depend on the outcome of this game. The same can be said for Utah and UCLA, which will collide tonight in Los Angeles.

Seton Hall vs St. John’s
The Seton Hall Pirates are fourth in the Big East Conference with a 16-9 record for the season and 9-5 in conference play. They have won three of the last four games and are coming off an 88-70 win over Xavier. Kadary Richmond had one of the best games this season with 20 points and 13 rebounds. He leads the Pirates with 16.1 points and 5.2 assists per game for the season. Seton Hall is 11th in the nation, shooting 78.3% from the free throw line, but makes only 5.7 three-pointers per game, which ranks them 330th.
The St. John’s Red Storm are ninth in the Big East with a 14-11 record, including 6-8 in conference play. They have lost four of the last five games and are coming off a 75-72 loss to Providence. Guard RJ Luis Jr. had 16 points and 14 rebounds in that one. Center Joel Soriano is the best player on the Red Storm, leading the team with 15 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. The Red Storm are making only 6.9 three-pointers per game and are shooting 43.7% from the field, not being among the top 200 schools in both categories.

Both teams have significantly dropped in the standings of the Big East Conference, and this is a must-win game for both of them. Seton Hall is in better form and has won 4 of the last 5 games against St. John’s. The Red Storm are struggling lately but are 5.5-point favorites going into this one, which is understandable since they are 9-3 at home. However, Seton Hall has split the eight road games this season and will have a shot in this one. It will be a close and tight game, with the Pirates covering the spread.
Rutgers vs Minnesota
