The month of March is all what college basketball is about. The teams have only a couple of games left from the regular schedule and it is now or never for most of them. There are plenty of games scheduled for Saturday and we put up our game breakdowns and college basketball betting trends for four of the most interesting games of the night.
Kansas and Baylor still have a chance to reach the top of the Big 12, and their matchup will definitely look like we are already in the NCAA tournament. Arizona is looking for its third consecutive win over Oregon. Duke and Virginia will face each other in an ACC classic. Tennessee is ranked fourth in the nation but will have a real challenge when they visit Alabama.
Let’s take a deeper look at the college basketball betting trends for these four games.
Kansas vs Baylor
The Kansas Jayhawks are third in the Big 12 Conference with a 21-7 record for the season and 9-6 in conference play. After winning back-to-back games against Oklahoma and Texas, the Jayhawks unexpectedly lost 76-68 to BYU. Hunter Dickinson had a solid game with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Kevin McCullar Jr. leads the Jayhawks with 19 points per game for the season. Kansas is fifth in the league, shooting 49.8% from the field, but they are making only 5.9 three-pointers per game, which ranks them 322nd in the nation.
The Baylor Bears are fourth in the Big 12 with a 20-8 record and 9-6 in conference play. The Bears are coming off a 62-54 win over TCU, which ended their two-game losing streak. Yves Missi had 16 points in that one, and Rayj Dennis almost recorded a triple-double, finishing with 9 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists. Ja’Kobe Walter is the best play on the Bears this season, averaging 14.8 points per game. Baylor is fifth in the nation in shooting 39.7% from three-point territory and 24th in scoring 81.6 points per game.
Kansas vs Baylor: College basketball betting trends
Kansas is 12-15-1 ATS for the season, 3-5-0 ATS on the road and 4-2-0 ATS following a loss. Baylor is 16-9-2 ATS for the season, 8-5-1 ATS at home and 10-6-2 ATS after a win.
Prediction and Conclusion
Both teams had ups and downs in recent weeks, and this is the game that will keep one of them in the race for the top spot in the Big 12 Conference. The Jayhawks have won six of the last 10 games against the Bears, including the last two games. A couple of weeks ago, the Jayhawks won 64-61 at home, but things will look way different tonight. Baylor is 13-2 at home for the season and has an excellent shooting team. They will have control of the game and win by covering the -5.5-point spread.
Oregon vs Arizona
The Oregon Ducks are third in the Pac-12 Conference with a 19-9 record for the season and 11-6 in conference play. They have won three of the last four games and are coming off a 78-71 win over Oregon State. Freshman Kwame Evans Jr. had the best game of his career, recording 22 points and 9 rebounds. N’Faly Dante leads the Ducks with 14.8 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. Oregon is 111th in the nation, scoring 76 points per game, and is ranked 97th in shooting from 35.5% from deep.
The Arizona Wildcats are on top of the Pac-12 with a 22-6 record for the season and 13-4 in conference play. They have won eight of the last nine games and are coming off an 85-67 win over Arizona State. Kylan Bowell led the team with 17 points in that one. Caleb Love is the best player for Arizona this season, averaging 19.3 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. Arizona is second in the nation, averaging 89.9 points per game, and is ranked 16th, shooting 49.1% from the field.
Oregon vs Arizona: College basketball betting trends
Oregon is 16-12-0 over the total point line for the season, 5-5-0 on the road and 8-10-0 after a win. Arizona is 14-14-0 over the total point line for the season, 6-9-0 at home and 11-10-0 after a win.
Prediction and Conclusion
Both teams are playing very well lately. Oregon has won the last four games, but this is the real challenge when they can prove they are a legit team. Arizona is 14-1 at home for the season and is a -13.5-point favorite in this game. Arizona has won the last two, but Oregon has won seven of the last 10 against the Wildcats. Therefore, it is much safer to go with the over option, as the total point line is set at 156.5. Oregon has gone over in the majority of their games this season, while Arizona is the second-best scoring team in the nation. Knowing that these two went over the line in their last five head-to-head games, we definitely go with the same pick.
Virginia vs Duke
The Virginia Cavaliers are third in the ACC with a 21-8 record for the season and 12-6 in the ACC. The Cavaliers have lost three of their last five games and are coming off a 72-68 win over Boston College. Reece Beekman had 18 points and 8 assists in that one, and he leads the Cavaliers with 13.9 points and 5.9 assists per game for the season. Virginia commits the fewest turnovers in the nation with 8.2 and is ranked 54th, shooting 36.5% from the three-point line.

Jeremy Roach had 19 points in that one. Kyle Filipowski is the best player on the Blue Devils this season, averaging 16.6 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Duke is ninth in the nation in shooting 38.6% from three-point territory and 37th in scoring 80.5 points per game.
Virginia vs Duke: College basketball betting trends
Virginia is 15-13-1 ATS for the season, 5-5-0 ATS on the road and 10-9-1 ATS following a win. Duke is 16-11-1 ATS for the season, 10-6-0 ATS at home and 11-10-0 ATS following a win.
Prediction and Conclusion
The Duke Blue Devils are second in the ACC, only one game behind the leading North Carolina. They have three games left on the schedule, including a showdown with the Tar Heels in the last round. Virginia also had a solid season, but they lacked consistency. The Cavaliers won the last time they visited Duke, but the Blue Devils will not give them a standing chance tonight. Duke is in excellent form and will have full control of this game, which will lead them to a win covering the -8.5-point spread.
Tennessee vs Alabama
The Tennessee Volunteers are on top of the SEC with a 22-6 record for the season and 12-3 in conference play. They have won the last five games and are coming off a 92-84 win over Auburn. Alabama is the best-scoring team in the nation, averaging 91.6 points per game, and is 13th in the nation, shooting 38.1% from three-point territory.
Tennessee vs Alabama: College basketball betting trends
Tennessee is 14-13-1 ATS for the season, 3-6-0 ATS on the road and 10-10-1 ATS following a win. Alabama is 17-11-0 ATS for the season, 11-3-0 ATS at home and 11-8-0 ATS following a win.
Prediction and Conclusion
Both teams are tied at 12-3 in the SEC this season, and this is the game that will make the difference between them this season. Tennessee has been playing excellent lately, winning the last five games, but things will not go easy when they visit Alabama. The Crimson Tide are the best offensive team in the nation this season, and they are especially efficient when playing at home. Both teams have split the last 10 head-to-head games, and this can easily go either way. Still, Alabama is having an excellent season after a while, and they will add another impressive performance, beating the Volunteers by covering the -2.5-point spread.
