Prediction and Conclusion
These two players met in the semifinals last season as well, when Alcaraz won in straight sets on his road to the title. Medvedev got him back at the US Open, but the Spaniard has won both of their matches since then in straight sets. Medvedev proved that he is capable of doing big things by beating world No. 1 Jannik Sinner in the last match, and he will have a chance against Alcaraz on this surface. The Spaniard is playing well but has shown some vulnerability, so we go with both players winning a set in this one.
