The Green Bay Packers will host the Chicago Bears on Lambeau Field on Sunday hoping that this game will turn into a playoff celebration.
The Chicago Bears made a significant improvement compared to last season, but they are still locked at the bottom of the NFC North with a 7-9 record. The Bears started the season with four consecutive losses, and winning four of the last five games did not make such a difference. Chicago is coming off a 37-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Quarterback Justin Fields had a solid game, throwing for 268 yards. The Bears are second in the league with 145.2 rushing yards per game. Defensively, they are the top team in the league, allowing only 84 rushing yards per game, and they are also ranked first with 1.4 interceptions per game.
The Green Bay Packers are second in the NFC North with an 8-8 record. After losing back-to-back games to the Giants and the Buccaneers, the Packers won the last two on the road against Carolina and Minnesota by scoring 33 points in each of those two games. Quarterback Jordan Love threw for 256 yards and three touchdowns in the win against the Vikings. Green Bay is 11th in the league scoring 22.9 points per game, and is ranked 13th with 340.1 yards per game.
The Packers have won the last 9 games against the Bears. They are 4-3-0 SU at home this season while the Bears are 2-6-0 SU on the road.
The Packers won 38-20 in the opening week of the season against the Bears in Chicago. Green Bay’s QB Jordan Love had an impressive performance, passing for three touchdowns, the first of five such games of the season. He completed 15 of 27 passes for 245 yards and posted a 123.2 rating.
WR Darnell Mooney is out for Chicago while CB Kyler Gordon, RB Khalil Herbert, CB Jaylon Johnson, TE Cole Kmet, and LS Patrick Scales are questionable. For Green Bay RB AJ Dillon is out and G Elgton Jenkins, LB Isaiah McDuffie, TE Luke Musgrave, WR Jayden Reed, LB Preston Smith, WR Christian Watson, and WR Dontayvion Wicks are questionable.
The Green Bay Packers’ season is on the line on Sunday when they host the Chicago Bears. With a win, the Packers are clinching a playoff berth after missing out in the last two seasons. That should be none of a problem for the Packers, who have won the last nine games against Chicago. The Bears have no chance of reaching the playoffs, and even though they are playing quite well lately, winning five of the last seven games just like the Packers, Green Bay will win this one and move on to the postseason.
