Baltimore Ravens vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Both teams are coming off a win

The Baltimore Ravens are visiting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on Monday.

The Ravens look scary

Following a couple of losses to start the season, the Baltimore Ravens turned up the engines and are currently on a four-game winning streak. They are coming off a 30-23 win over the Washington Commanders. Lamar Jackson outplayed rookie Jayden Daniels in a showdown between two of the NFL’s best quarterbacks with 323 passing and 40 rushing yards. The Ravens are now on top of the AFC North with a 4-2 record. They lead the league in total yards, yards per play, rushing yards, rushing yards per play and rushing attempts.

How good are the Bucs this year?

After winning the season’s first two games, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have split the last four. They are coming off a 51-27 win over the New Orleans Saints, their highest-scoring game of the season. Baker Mayfield recorded a season-high 325 yards and four touchdowns passing. Now the Buccaneers are on the share of the first place in the NFC South with a 4-2 record.  Tampa Bay is ranked fourth in the league with 70.9% pass completion, 5.3 yards per rush, and 6.4 yards per play.

Prediction and Conclusion

Both the Baltimore Ravens and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are among the league’s top offensive teams going into Week 7, and they are tied for first place in their conferences. Only the Detroit Lions, who score 30.2 points per game, score more than the Buccaneers, who are tied for second place with the Washington Commanders at 29.7 points per game. With an average of 29.5 points per game and 453.7 yards per game, the Ravens are ranked first in the league and fourth overall. On the other hand, both teams rank among the league’s worst pass defenses. Baltimore is ranked 31st with 275.7 passing yards per game, while Tampa Bay is ranked 28th with 252.3 yards. Given how well both quarterbacks are playing this season, it will be intriguing to watch them face off. Baker Mayfield of the Bucs is passing 134 for 189 for 1,489 yards and 15 touchdowns, which is a league high. Bucky Irving, a rookie with 328 rushing yards, leads the Buccaneers’ running attack. However, two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson of the Ravens is having yet another outstanding season. With 118 of 176 passes completed, Jackson has gained 1,529 yards, 10 touchdowns, and two interceptions. With 403 rushing yards and two touchdowns, he is also second on the team. Jackson’s record of 22-1 against NFC opponents is the best in NFL history for a quarterback facing an opposing conference. Jackson is 2-0 against Tampa Bay, and Baltimore has won five straight after dropping the first two meetings since 2001. Baltimore also benefits from Derrick Henry, who leads the league in rushing yards, rushing attempts, and rushing touchdowns. In addition, Henry is the first player to score at least one rushing touchdown in each of his team’s opening six games since LaDainian Tomlinson in 2005. We choose the Ravens to cover the -3.5-point spread because the Buccaneers simply cannot handle that much power.
